Depending on how long you’ve been following this blog, you might have picked up on the fact that I LOVE Ink & Arrow Fabrics. I went to Quilt Market in 2015 and their booth with the amazing Pixie Dots and the little Christmas houses from Naughty or Nice drew me in . . . and now I’m hooked! I love the unique and fun prints and all of the stunning color combinations. On top of that, I have been able to partner with them on some really exciting projects (more to come on that). I’m honored to call them part of my fabric family!
Today I get to introduce you to their newest line, Zola, from Junebee Designs. Zola features rich hues of coral, fuchsia, lime, turquoise, and even a hint of gray. I love that all of the prints mix well together, depending on what look you are going for. I wanted a boho/eclectic look for these Brooklyn Dresses, so I split up the tiers to get the most bang for my fabric buck!
I naturally gravitate towards florals, but this line introduces a new basic that will be offered as a coordinate, kind of like Pixie Dots. Lyla is their new blender and there are already so many colors! I used this great damask in both the coral/pink and green/navy colorways. I’m looking forward to including it in more of my projects, and maybe even something for me!
This is my coral and lime Zola Maxi. Normally you’d have one fabric per tier, but I split up the third and fourth tiers to make the most of these whimsical florals. The dragonflies that are sprinkled throughout the Flowers & Dragonflies print are both delicate and bold!
For this richly blue and green Brooklyn Sundress, I wanted the last tier to shine with a multitude of prints, so I divided it up into panels. Stay tuned (literally!) for a fun tutorial on how to accomplish this. It’s really simple, and a great way to use ALL THE FABRICS!
The colors and prints in Zola are great for summer AND fall, and the best part is that they are shipping to fabric shops now! You can use the store finder on the site to see what stores carry Ink & Arrow fabrics.
You can purchase the Brooklyn’s Boho Dress and Maxi in either PDF or paper in the Izzy & Ivy Shop. We’re having a sale for the July 4th holiday, so starting July 1, you can take 30% off everything in our shop using the code JULY4! Sale runs through 11:59 pm EST on July 5th.
